Hi all, I've removed the top from a Minolta XD11 to tap out a small ding and I almost have the top reinstalled. The advance lever spring seems fairly fragile and a little tricky to reinstall. Are there any tricks to getting it back together or is it just a matter of gently willing it back into place?

thanks! Bob

Well, I got the advance lever back together and finished putting the rest of the camera together. Everything seems to be working properly however... I looked down at my workspace and discovered this threaded brass spacer :p

the doodad

Since I cavalierly chose not to document my disassembly can someone tell me where I left this out?

thanks, Bob

Hi Bob, that piece goes on the advance lever shaft. I'm sorry to tell you that you are going to have to remove the lever and spring that you just got back on to put this piece on. Don't put it on real tight though, I've found that if it's too tight it'll cause winding problems. Snug is good.
