Hi, I can't re-assemble the stupid Canon nFD 50mm 1.4 after cleaning the lens. The famous Oleson shows the SSC version which is different (http://rick_oleson.tripod.com/index-161.html). I am having trouble figuring out where the end of the long spring attach to?

The long spring has one end attached to the signal lever (looks to be attached in the photo) and the other end attaches to the anchor dowel which should be located around 10 o'clock in your photo.
