I have a problem and I would be very grateful if someone can shed some light. The photo cell always reads low. The orange light appears under all conditions. I am confident that I have the correct voltage and good connections.
Any ideas?

Check the "pad of death". The deterioration of this rubber pad leads to all kinds of problems with this camera.
If you do a search on "pad of death" you should come up with how to check it.

Thank you Waynemel. The expression 'pad of death' doesn't evoke the easy solution I was hoping for.
'Remember to take the lens cap off' is more in my league.

Hi Iaxe
I have exactly the same problem with an Electro GTN. Last weekend I opened the camera body to replace the 'Pad Of Death'

Despite the 'Pad Of Death' not really being deteriorated I've replaced it with new material and cleaned out the old gooey stuff beforehand. Still the problem with low light indicator flashing persists.

Keep an eye on this thread I started. Jstair recommended cleaning wiper contacts linked to the shutter release.
