My Olympus 35 RD needs a cleaning of the RF/VF windows, and I need to adjust the rangefinder.
I have removed the advance lever and the rewind lever and two screws, but I still cannot get the top off.
Can anyone in this great site tell me how to do it? |

You have to remove the self-timer lever, too. By the the way, I have found only one screw on my 35RD; where's the second one?

Is there another nut under the rewind lever? It's a while since I did mine, it seemed fairly obvious at the time.
You should be able to adjust the rangefinder horizontally without taking the top off - open the back and remove the screw to the top left of the film gate. There should be an adjusting screw behind it, if I remember correctly. |

Hello again,
thanks to your replies I made it! Yes, Dirk, there is only one screw, and I removed the self-timer.
And there is another nut under the rewind-knob. When I finally got this loose, I could take the top off. The RF/VF windows are now good and clean, and all parts reassemled.
I also found the screw covering the adjusting screw. With all this, and new light seals, the 35 RD should be in good shape.
The only difficulty in using it, is that the aperture ring is a bit tight and hard to adjust to manually set apertures. I guess I have to live with that.
