I have had so many requests for drawings and photos of my design lens spanner that I will be posting these for all to use. I would like it to remain for amateur use. So; as soon as I get some free time I will get the package together. Please don't send me any more emails before that.

From experience I can tell you that if you have just not re-invented the wheel and your design has genuine advantages over the myriad of similar tools out there, then the device will definitely be purloined by our industrious Chinese friends at some point in the future.

I use various split ring pliers, plain stainless steel straight edge sheet metal cut to size, tramelpoints, hemostats, watch case grips, even used a scisors.

Let's see what you got?

Utility knife blades with the sharp edge and corners ground off work good too.

See Gus Lazzari's spanners cleverly made from a drafting compass in this photo.net posting:

Sure it is made from a drafting compass? It follows the regular pattern for angled spanners.

Ain't no drafting compass, I have the very same tool in front of me now - even down to the cast 'monogram' and the interchangeable slot bits!
