I need to take the top off my Olympus OM-2s Program SLR in order to try and take a dent out. I'm familiar removing top off OM-2n, OM-1n, OM-10 and OM-40, but the film advance lever on the OM-2s is different. I can't see any holes for using a spanner. At first it appeared like there is possibly a rubber cap glued on to pry off but on closer look it I think the top cap is all one piece. I've tried gently prying on it, and also trying to screw it off with rubber friction. Don't want to try any harder for fear of breaking something. Anyone know how to get this off?

Thanks, I've seen this same document. Sadly, my question still remains however. The diagram shows the very top cap on the film advance lever as being one piece. From the diagram I'd assume you have to pry that top cap off. Just need someone that may have had experience to verify that before I get my crowbar out.

Yes, you pry off the cover. Something less than a crowbar might be called for!

The top cap is just glued on with contact cement. Underneath it, there is a Phillips head screw.

More difficult than the wind lever is the ISO/compensation dial. I'll send you some notes if you email me at [email protected] - but it's tricky even when you know how it's put together.
