The needle in the viewfinder on my camera does not drop into the red "underexposure" area, even with the lens cap on. When the battery is removed, however, it does drop to the bottom of the scale. This indicates that the needle is not physically impeded from moving. I am afraid that if the needle does not drop to its lowest point, that this will lead to underexposure.
Can I adjust the meter? Has anyone done this?
