This one is just strange. Other than battery contacts, I've never seen a motor winder have an issue. This one is strange. I just picked up a Canon MA winder. This one looks like new. Suspect it's been stored away for a long time. Not a scratch on it. Loaded up a batch of AA alks and bolted it to my A-1. Found it to be intermittant. Took it back apart and used a small amount of contact cleaner on every exposed contact. Still intermittant but in a strange way. Shutter fires, motor starts the advance cycle but quits just a hair too soon, sometimes. Have to complete cocking by hand. I've cycled it several times. Tried it on a different camera (AE-1P). The intermittant is always the same. Wonder if anyone has seen this before? Dave... |
