Hi all,

I have a pristine Minolta XD-5, but it has a problem:
Shutter fires on one speed only, no matter what mode, or speed/aperture selected. (even in M) I have tried different batteries (LR44, and silver oxide), but to no avail. Also, the LEDs in the viewfinder are quite dim.
I have done the following:
- Cleaned the Aperture ring resistance tracks
- Cleaned the air piston
- Cleaned all the VR tracks I could find.
Is it normal for the LEDs not to light up after winding on? They only seem to light up (dim) after the shutter is released.
The speed changes in the viewfinder (LEDs) when the aperture is altered, but only before winding on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
