Hello.

I need to check the light meter switch. It's very rough when sliding the switch and the meter doesn't work. (the battery socket and wire is fine - already checked that which is a common problem).
I found a 168 page Olympus repair manual with tons of detail yet I can't figure out how to take the top off. Anyone that can help me with that I would be greatly appreciated. Another note is the wire from the battery compartment is completely open circuit when checked with an ohm meter so the problem must be near the switch or meter itself which is why I need to get the top off.

Thanks

The original instructions that were at http://olympus.dementia.org/Hardware/tutorials/OM-1CoverRemoval/ are no longer there, but the Wayback Machine has a snapshot of the web page at http://web.archive.org/web/20081007001325/http://olympus.dementia.org/Hardware/t utorials/OM-1CoverRemoval/

Hello Feldman,
Thank you so much. I believe I fixed it. Just resoldered the wires going to the circuit board.
So far so good.

Thanks
