Hi, does anybody know where to get very thin glass to replace broken glass in a watameter range finder. It is very thin and the thinnest I can find is in a photo frame but this seems too thick. Or maybe some sort of plastic, plexi or similar? Thanks, Eric. |

Use that very stiff clear plastic from the box that fancy Christmas cards come in or any similar clear plastic from pucker packaging. |

I use slide cover glass (2"x2") and find it useful for camera rangefinders and other camera glass replacement where a thin glass is needed as the thickness of the glass is .035". These were commonly used for transparency mounting in came in many sizes, probably up to 6x9. |

Oh, cover glass. I thought you were referring to the little thin bit of glass used to make microscope slides. I think microscope slide cover glass would work also. |

Sure, you could use microscope cover glass for some applications, but keep in mind that it is very thin, maybe just a few thousandths of an inch and fairly small in size. Also, it can be brittle so cutting it to size can prove a challenge. |
