Hey,

Im in the process of trying to realign the rangefinder on my canonet.
I managed to get the horizontal alignment into place, but whatever I do I cannot fix the vertical alignment..

I tighten the screw for it, which moves the rangefinder patch upwards and further out of alignment. If I loosen it, it stops putting pressure on the window and will not adjust.

Anyone encountered this before, or got any ideas how to fix it? Its really annoying me, I cant see a logical solution for fixing it!

Thanks

AFAIK there are 2 adjustment screws, both accessible w/o taking off the camera top. 1 is under the hot-shoe spring-type metal, another is under the plastic plug on the back between VF ezepiece and film engagement indicator. If these 2 don't help, it's probably time to take off the top cover and take a look what's wrong...
