My 1973 Yashica TL Electro-X ITS shutter will not operate when lens is mounted on camera body but will operate properly when lens is not mounted.
Mirror operates freely, shutter speed control responds, and lens will cycle aperture diaphragm.
I cannot determine where interference comes from.
Any ideas? Thanks,

Is it possible the mirror has "slid downhill" a little and is hitting the back of the lens? I have run into that before.

Check with aperture set to full open. If it works then u need to lubricate the mechanism that closes aperture and releases mirror.
