Hi, I'm new to the forum. I acquired a Signet 35 with a sticky shutter. Access requires removal of the lens assy which supposedly unscrews. It won't budge, any ideas? Thanks, Roger

Dan Mitchell shows on his excellente website the procedure:
http://pheugo.com/cameras/index.php?page=signet35

If you follow the link to the service manual at the very bottom of the page you will find the following:
http://pheugo.com/cameras/index.php?page=downloads
Follow the link at the bottom to the service manual, it's a zip archive. So download an unpack it. Ith as scans of the shutter disassembly from the service manual. The lens should simply screw off. No set screws etc. mentioned. But have a look yourself. I guess t won't be necessary to remove the shutter from the body. But others might know better.

Hope it helps.
Martin

Yeah, the front lens just unscrews. As I recall You'll need to take the little knob off the end of the cocking lever to remove the mechanism from the housing.

The shutter is pretty sensitive to dust and grime. I soaked mine in hot water with a little detergent, then rinced and repeated it a few times.
After letting it dry thoroughly it worked fine.
