Problem: Shutter only working at 500, no matter settings the under light comes on, pointing camera into bright light would lite over once out of 15 attempts but under lamp also on.

So having never done this before I have camera open, the pod looks new, all wires from battery are soldered fine.

Any ideas on what to look for? I feel I am in over my head:^( But at this point I might as well keep going, just do not know what to look at next.

Hi David,If my memory serves me right, the MG1 has a discontinued battery of 6 volts.Your camera either has a flat correct battery or someone has found a replacement type which may be of the wrong voltage or may not fit tightly enough.Hope this may be of help.Chris.

Hi Chris Wish it was the battery, but I have been using these same type batteries with a adapter for years.I do thank you because I am stumped. I have never had to go this far on the GSN's.Guess I have just been lucky:^)
