I manage to remove the rewind nob (which is not too difficult). It does not seem to have any screw under it. I include pictures of the camera top cover. Has anyone seem this kind of housing before and willing to share some knowledge? I can upload more pictures if needed. Thanks in advance.

Unscrew the knurled knob that holds the frame
advance lever. Now you can remove the frame
advance lever and the frame counter dial.

Unsrew the two strap lugs on the sides. The top
cover can now be lifted off.

Rod, thank you very much for the information. One more question: does the knurled knob open clockwise or counter clockwise? It was tight.

Have a look at the bottom of this thread: http://photo.net/classic-cameras-forum/00L1gD
These cameras were sold on the ability to upgrade the non-rangefinder version to a coupled rangefinder, by just replacing the whole top section of the camera. Hens the ease (?) of removing the top. More here: http://photo.net/classic-cameras-forum/00XZvH

It is a standard right hand thread so turning it
counter-clockwise will unscrew it.

I got the top removed and the range/view finder cleaned. All glasses and mirror seem to work fine with Windex. The silver coating on the mirror is still holding like new.

When polishing the top cover, I wiped out some of the lettering on the two dials (ASA and film counter). They are made of soft aluminum. So, be careful with those. I will move on to the stuck open (not a good sign) Prontor -SVS shutter next.

Thanks for all you helps.
