Hello,

I've been reading these forums for quite a bit, though this is the first time that I am stumped.

I got an Oly 35SP, just this morning, in chrome for a decent price. Cosmetically mint. Before I paid for it I already determined that the meter was bad (thus A mode is not working). A fresh battery didn't make any difference.

I've just finished removing the top plate off and reinstalling it. I inspected the meter specifically. I removed the meter from the meter box (for a lack of better term) and saw that the connectors are corroded. Hmmn I didn't have my digital voltmeter handy so I put it all back again.

My question is: If the cell of the meter can not be persuaded to work, are there any cameras that can be donors (besides another SP). I have a Pen D2 that I can be used as a cell donor. Of course I loose spot metering but I really don't care much about that.

Suggestions highly appreciated.

I found this Japanese page:
http://tomshome.sakura.ne.jp/others/olympus/35SP.html

I will probably try it out. Or stick in there the CdS from my non-operating XA-2.
