I LOVE this camera. I got some results back using my Oly SP-35. As they say in Oz, I'm "gobsmacked!" The lens is outstanding, and so far, the metering seems OK using a converter. The camera has hardly a scratch on it, and the lens is crystal. I love how it meters out EV instead of other info.

Now the only problem — one I described in another thread — is that the aperture ring is impossibly stiff. Shooting in Auto is OK — forget manual.

So in total: I need the camera taken down to where the ring can be lubricated and freed up — whatever. The light seals could be replaced. I'd like to see if they can recalibrate the light meter for 1.5 batteries since the metering section is likely to be exposed. The shutter blades look dry, so if the tech gives it thumbs up I'd just as soon as leave it alone.

So the question is (yes, I did a search) who is working on these that knows what's up? Who is good and reliable? — in Canada or the US.

I'm in Japan, but I'm a long way from Tokyo. And no one in Sendai seems to know anything. All the old guys in their used camera shops have gone. The last one packed it up last week. (In fact I bought this camera there some years ago, and it sat doing nothing — my mistake).

Comments ... suggestions. Any very ballpark numbers about cost?

Are there any members in Tokyo who can recommend someone there?
