Hi,
I have a problem with the mirror in Pentax K1000.
When I press the shutter release button, the mirror is going up very slow and doesn't return back, I have to press shutter button again and only then mirror is going down.
Sometimes the mirror is just locked up and doesn't want to go down, I have to make several shots to get it back.
First I thought maybe it's something with the foam... like stickiness.. but foam over there is almost gone and it's not sticky at all..
I made a video, you can check it here:

Thank you very much for any help, suggestions, ideas!

Probably need to pull the prism and mirror box and clean all the pivots in the mirror box, and then lubricate correctly. Or maybe the spring that drives it up is kaput.

Thankfully there's great service manuals for K1000 and the Spotmatic to work from.
