I used this camera as a kid, and only just looked at it tonight after many years in a box. I remember at the time the shutter would not click - the button just springs back, hence it was retired. I was interested in having a look to see if it could be fixed by first removing the top part off the camera. I have managed to remove the film rewind knob (easily) but cannot remove the film advance lever. I assumed the plastic "hat" on the top of the lever should be removed to possibly reveal a screw but it won't budge without breaking it, and turning it was hobby pliers does not wind it off. A picture of the camera is here http://www.3106.net/photo/cam1080.htm I have read the advice this website, and searched high and low before posting. Of course, the camera has no monetary value but I am interested in fixing it if possible. Any ideas? Greg. |

If it is the same as the Konica 35, and I believe it is, you need to take the bottom plate off and remove a screw. |

Thanks. Yes I think it is the same as the Konica 35. I removed 3 screws and the backing plate came off easily. The shutter mechanism is partially visible but still not accessible from beneath. If I can get the top off it will be easier. I'll keep tinkering! |
