Hi, I have a Minolta XG-M. The winder doesn't appear to be working and nor is the shutter. I tried changing the batteries but that did nothing. Help please!

Did you replace the batteries in the winder, the camera, or both?

Does the camera work without the winder attached?

Any indication the camera is alive?

Battery check good? Red light on front of camera comes on when you press the square black button on the camera top?

Lights in the viewfinder when you put your finger in the shutter button?

Will the film lever move and shutter fire with the film door open?
