I had a negitive search, I need to grease the gears inside the bottom cover. My A-1 canon ser. no. 205xxx is a early production I think, and not lots of plastic. Think the gears are metal from tapping with screwdriver. I read somewhere the later ones had more plastic . The old grease looks dark-silverish metallic color. Q!!! is there a special grease you use on these classic cameras not to attack plastics or just a automotive grease. A grease with not much oils in it would be nice not to run later. Bill |
