Does anyone know if it matters about the polarity of the flash contact holes on the side of an Argus C3? I am trying to build a flash connection cable/plug for a C3 which would terminate in a standard PC socket. I'm not sure if the top hole is + or - or if it even matters. |

I am by no means an expert (and PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong), but I think it doesn't matter. I believe that the contacts simply create a temporary short completing a circuit in the external flash to discharge. I'm out of town, but I can try to test my C3 with a multimeter and check for this. Thanks, Ismaelg |

As the power supply comes from the flash the camera just closes the circuit at the right time so I guess polarity is not an isuue. Martin |
