My big fingers let the screen drop from the focus screen frame last week:-( I'm not positive if the smooth side goes up and etched side towards mirror, just want confermation. Thats the way my F-1 is, etched side down, so suppose must be the same?
I read in searching the longest ridge (smooth side) along the raised sides of edges goes to rear?

Correction to above post; I read in searching that the length wise edge of focusing screen (on smooth side) has a rail like protrusion and the longer one goes to the rear?
Any thoughts on the above? Thanks, Bill

Strange forum, cant delet or edit my own post after 15min.?

From what I recall ... there is only one way to put the screen in because of the tab.

Etched side down (towards mirror).

No tab that I can see, just the faint raised lines along the 2 longer sides
