I have the previlege of owning one of these rare lenses. I bought it at a flee market for next to nothing (less that the equiv. of $20). The lens is in good shape both externally and optically.
But, and there is always a but...
It can not focus to infinity. The focusing ring hits the infinity mark, but that only means that everything beyond 5m is out of focus. I.E. the focusing helicoil has to be reset. However, I do not know how to get into this contraption. I know that the front lens group can be unscrewed, and that this gives me good access to the aperture. But, I can not get any further. The aperture does not come out as a unit unfortunately, and there are no set screws or retaining rings that can be reached and removed (apart from the one that frees the aperture ring).
So, has any one here got any idea how to fix this? A google search did not come up with anything exept the hideous prices people put on this "gem". |
