Have a Nikkormat FT2 that has a wobbly pin that engages the lens aperture bracket.looks like it is peened in place.are there any options to get it tight again without removing the ring from the camera?was thinking a drop of red loctite would do the trick.

I think you may be right. I'd try the superglue/loctite path first. It's not that easy to get that ring in and out again.
