The vertical alignment is a little off on my Minolta-35 rangefinder at infinity.
I is OK for close objects.

I cannot see any external ports to access any adjustment screws (like my Canons) ... do I have to take the top apart to do this (which I really do not want to do) ?

I have some notes on the Minolta 35 but they do not include this adjustment. Is it done by rotating the right hand rangefinder window as it is in a screw mount Leica?

I just ordered your CD, before I read this.

That is exactly how it is done.
I unscrewed the right hand port and turned the lens.
Anti-clock wise to lower.

Thanks Rick ... I forgot about that (I am fairly new to these rangefinders).

If this adjustment has now thrown off your lateral alignment, I think you should be able to readjust that for focus through a little port at the lower corner of the front viewfinder window.

The lateral is OK.

Hmm, there is no port there.

Possibly removal of the cover ?

Ah, confused myself.

The screw covers the port beside the viewfinder window. This adjusts lateral alignment.

The inner circular rangefinder port, after removing screw cover, rotates to adjust vertical alignment.
