Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum and I registered because I have a problem which I don't know how to solve. I bought a Panagor 135 mm F 2.8 lens with a Nikon mount. Since I would like to use it on my Nikon D80 I believe it needs a Ai conversion. Therefore I want to disassemble the lens. The problem is, I think you guys already guessed, I don't know how to disassemble it. I removed all the screw from the mount and the ring below but it still isn't coming of? Any thoughts, which might help? 1. http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z251/min0badje/foto/DSC_0029Small.jpg 2. http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z251/min0badje/foto/DSC_0030Small.jpg Sincerly badje |

I don't know the details about Ai conversion, other than that you can buy kits for certain Nikon lenses.Wether you can get a kit for a Panagor lens,I very much doubt as it was a budget lens, like Vivitar. If you intend doing your own conversion from instructions on an internet page,I would advise caution,as you could expensively damage your D80. As for opening up the lens, many have screws hidden beneath the rubber grip on the barrel. |

Most likely it is held in place by the stop-down spring. Remove the baffle (you know, the black protective ring in the center of the mount), pull out the shade, turn the focus to minimum, and see if you can disengage the spring. |
