I have a Minolta XG-7 MD mount, there's nothing wrong with the camera, it works great. When I use my Rokkor MD 50mm F/1.7, it's clear and bright. BUT, there's a problem. See, a few days ago I purchased a W.Rokkor-SC MC 28mm f/3.5, but whenever I put it into my minolta, it comes out very dark. I can clearly see the difference. The lens works great, fully operational, even when I open up the apeture all the way, and look through the lens, I don't see any dark glare as I see when I mount it on my camera. I have two questions,

1) Will this affect picture quality? Is this normal for this lens?

2) If it isn't, how can I go about fixing this?

Thank you!

A f1:1.7 lens will let more light thru than a
f1:3.5 lens so the view thru the 1.7 lens will
be brighter. Shoot a roll of film using your new
3.5/28 and see how you like it.
