I have been given a Beirette Junior II. This camera is interesting with a miniscule viewfinder and no meter. I have extracted an old roll of film out of the body (by literally cutting it out as it wouldn't rewind), now the rewind and the film advance lever work perfectly. The aperture blades appear to function too, The problem is the shutter release won't move. It is totally jammed. I'm guessing the shutter blades are stuck. It doesn't appear possible to get to the shutter from the back/inside. Does anyone know if I'll be able to get to it from the front if I dismantle it? I have searched on the internet and can't find any information about dismantling this model. Has anyone come across anything? |

Do you need film in this camera for it to work? |

That's a good question. I don't know. I assumed not because I haven't bumped into a camera that required it (my rangefinders work without). |

Some cameras do require film in them to operate the shutter. The Zeiss Ikon Contina, Wirgin Edixa and Voigtlander Vito B are all examples. |
