Does anyone have any experience in repairing the Braun Gloria camera?

I've recently acquired one with a number of problems (sticky shutter on slow speeds, lens tube appears off-true, very dim rangefinder image with double double-image.

I need to take the top cover off initially to see if I can fix the rangefinder. As well as being dim, the vertical alignment seems off. Horizontally it seems ok and infinity seems right.

So far I've removed the 6 screws holding the name plate. This gives access to a square hole - obviously for adjusting the rangefinder as I can see the mirror and several screws (one big screw, probably holding the mirror assembly, as well as 2smaller screws, presumably for adjustment purposes. I can also see a spring behind the mirror but neither the spring nor mirror appear to move when I turn the rangefinder knob.

I have also removed the top screw from the rangefinder knob to reveal three screws beneath. I assume if I remove them, the knob will lift off. What's underneath I don't know but it must connect to the workings of the rangefinder somehow.

I can't see an obvious way to remove the winding knob from the other side of the top cover, although I assume I need to if I want to get the top cover off.

Sorry for the length of this post. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Inside the camera the part which turns the film reel should be held with pliers and then the wind knob can be undone clockwise. The opposite way to the arrow.

Thanks, Fidji

I'll give that a go.

Do you know what happens if I remove the 3 screws that seem to be holding the rangefinder knob on?

And does anyone know if the 2 screws on the front of the top cover - which seem to relate to the viewfinder/rangefinder windows - need to be removed too in order to get the top cover off?

Thanks again

Two screws on front may just hold the glass windows in place, but having never dismantled mine,I guess the other 3 will have to be remove to get the top plate off. There may be one under the flash shoe as well, and be careful when you remove the top, as the shutter release and lens release both seem to have heavy duty springs which may fly across the room.
