I just got a beauty of a Contessa 35 Folder. Only problem is the shutter is cocked and stuck.Nothing I do will release it. I know how to operate it , the interlock and all , there is also a release on the very bottom of the lens but no go . I have another Contessa that is pretty well trash , rangefinder gone , meter shot , leather shabby , BUT the lens and shutter assembly works great. What would be involved in transplanting the entire lens and shutter barrel from one to the other. Would they come out in one piece by removing them from the rear? |

YUP , they will , just did it. One retaining ring is all there is holding the whole assembly in place. Easy fix. Now if the Focus is not screwed up I am home free. |
