Hi guys, I just recently acquired a minolta srt 101. Was playing around with it and all seemed fine apart from the sticky followup meter, which I can live with.

However, after putting in a roll of film, I tried out different shutter speeds, but it always sounds like the same one speed. Does anyone know what's wrong with it? And how I can get it fixed?

Does it sound the same in the range 1/8 below to 1 second?

There is one gear in the lower gear train which needs a small dot of oil. This is an extremely common problem. About 12~14 years ago I got so many requests about this I made two images which explain the fix. Please contact me at [email protected] for them.
