I have a yashica that has been unused for some time but I would like to use it again. I have a bit of a problem though. The light seals are crumbling. Also when I look through the view finder I see a lot of dust and debris. Can the top be removed from the camera to clean and are there light seal kits??

Just guessing but more that likely the junk you are seeing though the viewfinder is on the mirror. Hardest job of replacing light seals is getting the old junk out. Contact :[email protected], I have bought from him since 2008, he has a good product, excellent directions for your application, and quick service. I have no connect with Jon other than a happy customer. Good luck, those are great cameras, it was my very 1st SLR bought in 1968 at a PX in Nam.

Just a follow up, do not know why,[senior moment], but I was referring to a Yashica TL Super. Which model are you working on, the mirror comment would not apply to a rangefinder. But I use many Yashicas, for the money they are some great cameras. I have a MG-1 on the bench in pieces with a kit from Jon waiting to be finished.

Well I have a bright red face now, excuse my babbling, just looking at posts and saw TL Super. I shall be sitting in the corner now.
