I have a moldy FM2 that I try to restore. After fixing the shutter, I am trying to fix the mirror mechanism: I can't cock it but I can't find what's wrong with it (the mirror is down and loose). Please help

Is the mechanism of the mirror really broken or is the mirror stuck at the top because of gummy seals?

It is not stuck - it lost its tension and lies in the down position. I can easily move it when touching it.
