As we are not clairvoyant here, there could be enough reasons to fill a book. I'll start the ball rolling: -

You didn't load the film correctly, so it was not exposed.

Forgot to remove the lens cap??????????????
Didn't press shutter release???????????????
Waited 20 years to get them developed??????
Gave the processor wrong roll of film which had not been exposed???????????????????????????
Mistake on the part of the processor???????
The possibilities are endless.
Any other suggestions??????????????????????
Richard.

With dead batteries, the Pentax ME will fire at 1/1000s - this, depending on light conditions and the aperture used, could result in a 'blank' roll. Did you check the batteries and does your meter / shutter work correctly?
