It appears some part of the shutter fire/release mechanisms have jammed on my daughters camera. The winder side of the FA fell apart last week and before she gave it to me and asked for help she and he teacher took the bottom off the camera looking for a release lever for the back. It appears they may have moved something in the shutter mechanism that is now out of sync. I can wind the camera and can see the spring and lever towards the front of the lens move forward, but when you press the button to shoot, that lever does not release. I can manually release it with another lever. Is this something I can fix, should I take it to a repair shop or find her another F body Nikon for her photograhy 1 class. Any help would be appreciated.
