As you have probably guessed from the title of this post, I have a question about a Retina II. I have several Retinas and they all have a gold coating on the semitransparent mirror that gives the viewfinder a light beige tint. Well, one of mine is quite a lot browner. It doesn't effect the rangefinder patch, which is clear. Is this within normal parameters or should I suspect that there something stuck on the mirror? If something is on there, how safe is it going to be to clean it off?

If that doesn't affect the contrast of the patch, I'd say don't worry about it. The older RFs are notorious for their easy-to-scrape off silvering.
