I've just acquired a Petri Penta from a friend, but the shutter release is jammed. Any idea where I should start trying to fix this?

(total newbie as far as camera repairs are concerned, so take it easy on me!)

You can try removing the bottom plate and flush cleaning the works.

Might work and might not.

The camera is fifty years old.

You can put it in good working order if you are willing to completely disassemble it and rebuild it.

Not a recommended first step in camera repair.
