So I peered into the eye of my beloved 2.8E and noticed the aperture iris protruding into the lens when the aperture was set to f2.8! The protrusion seems to be enough to misshape the bokeh at full aperture. Highly alarmed I took it apart to see if I could have done something wrong on my last assembly, but nothing seemed amiss. Hell-bent on having my round bokeh I bent a part on the aperture control, and the iris doesn't interfere with the lens at full aperture anymore. Here comes my question:
Is the iris supposed to protrude ever so slightly into the lens???
Have I done a terrible mistake which will result in over-exposure of all my pictures to come???

Any clues?
