I've found that my Nikon Nikkormat FT2 seems to be reading a stop high. Any idea where I might find an adjustment for this?

What kind of battery do you have in it, Waaaste?

Make sure that the battery is at full strength. I once had the same problem with my Nikkormat and found that the voltage was not up to full strength although it still indicated "good"

Here is one thing you can do to check your meter. Just a starting point, but not a bad one at all...Get a white foam coffee cup (the disposable kind you find at a car dealership, bank, etc.---usually these are about 2mm thick). Fit this down over your lens. You may have to trim the open end, but just fit it over the lens so that the closed end is covering the lens. Set the ASA speed to 125. Set the shutter speed to 1/125. Set the aperture to 16. Then go outside and point the camera at the sun in a cloudless sky (with the coffee cup covering the lens) and activate the meter. See if it is reading over or under, and then please let us know.

Jon, will this white coffee cup check work as a general test for my FTb. I recently had overexposed pictures, but found oil on the iris after shooting all the film. That problem has been fixed thanks to good advice and help received on this forum, but now I'm suspicious of my meter.

Sorry for delayed reply...no power for a day. We had a little rain event here. Yes, as Rick said. Works for any camera.

I have had to wait on clouds to clear. Tried the coffee cup test and it appears that my meter is off. It is still humid and hazy this morning, will try again this afternoon when the haze clears. I don't expect much change.
