Recently aquired, near perfect condition, except that you can advance film at any time, not just after firing the shutter. Has anyone had this problem? Easy fix or no? Thanks for any help.

Probably not a big problem.

It's likely a lubrication problem cured by removing the top cover and cleaning the obstruction cam. Ronsonol (naptha) will usually do the job.

The lens is amazingly high quality as regards resolution and contrast and the camera is definitely worth some work.

Mikel, you are right about the lens quality. My first roll thru it was Kodak Ektar, and the film developer remarked about the sharpness.I hope it's not a big problem, I don't usually like to open these things up.
