Hi,

I'm trying to take off the front elements on a Tokina AT-X 80-200 2.8 lens. The very front of the lens with the red ring - about 1/4" - seems to be independent of the barrel, but does not budge (I've removed the set screw, and tried to twist the front part off, with no luck.

I've tried the WD-4 and oil filter wrench technique, but there's not much to grip on!

Has anyone been successful in taking this lens apart?
