I have a Rollei 35. The focus rings have distance measured in both feet and in meters. Some have feet on top and meters on the bottom of the focus ring but mine has meters shown on top and feet on the bottom.
I am more comfortable measuring in feet so how can I disassemble and reassemble the focus ring to show feet on top? Any advice?
It is possible to move the focus ring to show feet instead of meters but its a bit tricky as the focus may go out of adjustment so be warned.
First prise out the outer trim ring, there is a small cut out where you can insert a small screwdriver. This will expose 3 screws, with these removed you can lift off the focus ring and change its position. Take care not to move the lens.
Before starting, you should mark the position of the lens at infinity just incase it moves. Also take a photo of it.
