The light meter in my XD7 works sometimes, but other times I press the shutter release, only the very bottom LED lights. On automatic however, the shutter speed is change appropriately. It has been suggested that cleaning some of the variable resistors, or contacts under the shutter release may fix the problem. So I have two questions:

1)
Is it likely that this will help?

2)
Can somebody point me to, or give me instructions to remove the top plate (or shutter release/speed wheel), and tell me what I need to clean?

Thanks a lot.
