I recently bought a fujica ax-3 through e bay. I have tried loading the film, but the film advance lever is not working. It moves but the spool and the sprocket do not move. Is there something I am missing?

Thank you.

Is the rewind dimple on the bottom pushed in? Try spinning the sprocket thingy by thumb to see if it resets.

The rewind button on the AX-3 is not on the bottom. It's the square white button on the top plate to the left of the wind lever.

First, check to be absolutely positive your battery is good. Then, make sure the camera is turned on at the main switch under the rewind crank. Also try Tom Cheshire's suggestion of spinning the spool to see if it resets.

Thanks for the suggestions. The battery is brand new and tests as good, I tried everything you suggested and still have the same results.
