I have a Minolta SRT202 that shoots ok at 1000 and 500 but the rest of the speeds also shoot at 500. Standard shutter cleaning job or something else?

The timing escapement in the SRT is up on top near the shutter speed dial and release button. I'd guess that needs cleaning. Clean it in place, it can be touchy to get its position right on reassembly if you remove the escapement.
