Hello there:

I have a Canon New F1 which has a rewind problem.

This camera has a 'clutch' below the shutter speed dial, which needs to be depressed and locked into place for the rewind lever to get activated.

In my camera, i can depress the rewind clutch and lock it, but the rewind fork still rotates freely.

When i apply vertical force on the rewind knob and rotate it, i can rewind the film albeit very very slowly.
(Presently i have resorted to using a changing bag to remove the film from the camera by hand.)

I am wondering if someone has had the same problem -- and if its possible to fix it ? Right now I dont even know where to start (there arent any people fixing old film slrs in this part of the world anymore).

thanks

Ashok
