Hi all, I have a Yashica Electro 35 GSN, and all is well except that the Bulb setting doesn't work. It does fire the shutter, but does not hold it open. Is this easily fixed? Thanks.

What type of battery are you using? the PX32 is the best option as its the same size and can supply the extra current to hold the solenoid in.

There are also another 3 switches that you might have to check. The capacitor shorting switch which is in the shutter and the bulb/flash/auto switch.

I have some troubleshooting notes if that will help. If you are not skilled in small mechanical and electronic repairs then I would suggest you send it off to a repairer who can fix it for you.

Cheers
