My FM2 light meter is hectic - when I turn the speed or aperture dials, the +0- lights flash like crazy. I just overhauled it, so there might be 2 reasons for this:
1. I didn't solder the wires properly
2. I removed a spring which was located near the speeds dial and seemed to have no use - maybe it was needed for grounding?
Thanks!

Nikon never includes springs which have no functionality - so now you know the root of your problem. Put it back exactly as it came out - and retest.

It was the spring: I put it back and the meter start working well, but after few seconds it stopped functioning completely! I checked all the immediate suspects (battery, loose wires), but found nothing wrong. Any idea?

Were any of the wires which you desoldered, from points on the flex pcb prism overlay?

Any idea regarding the light meter? maybe I need to re-solder the wires on the PCB?
